Troy Gray Takes MVL League Title With Win

Isaac Perry drove in seven runs on four hits to lead Troy Gray past Xenia 24-0 on Wednesday. Isaac Perry doubled in the first scoring three, singled in the second scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and walked in the third scoring one.

 

Troy Gray jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Anthony Welches singled, scoring one run, Jonah Efaw singled, scoring one run, Wyatt Koesters singled, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs, Crosby Murry singled, scoring one run, Isaac Perry doubled, scoring three runs, Crosby Murry singled, scoring one run, and Isaac Perry singled, scoring one run.

 

Troy Gray extended their early lead with six runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Jonah Efaw, Anthony Welches, Isaac Perry, and Jonah Efaw.

 

Troy Gray added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Isaac Perry walked, Wes Wickman walked, Jax Stillwell grounded into a fielder's choice, and Bronson Huelskamp walked, each scoring one run.

 

Wyatt Koesters earned the win for Troy Gray. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking none. Simeon Bruce stepped on the mound first for Xenia. The righty allowed 17 hits and 19 runs (17 earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking four. Logan Hackney, Will Rippey, and Jonah Efaw each came on in relief for Troy Gray and shutdown Xenia.

 

Troy Gray 2025 collected 19 hits in the game. Crosby Murry set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Troy Gray with five hits in five at bats. Jonah Efaw and Anthony Welches each collected multiple hits for Troy Gray. Troy Gray had patience at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. Will Rippey and Wes Wickman led the team with two free passes each. Troy Gray didn't commit a single error in the field. Anthony Welches had the most chances in the field with 13.

 

With the win, Troy Gray officially won the 2025 MVL League Title.
